I know. It's been a while since I last posted. You have to understand though, I just got home and there has been a lot of catching up to do with friends and family so I have been incredibly busy.
As I promised. My next post was going to be great because well...well just read on.
Here's what happened the first night I got home. I'm tired but happy, pull into the driveway after my long flight. First thing I notice is my favorite chair sitting outside by the garage. Now...this is my favorite chair for a few reasons. 1. It is one of those big huge overstuffed chairs that you just sink into. The reallly fluffy kind. 2. My cats "spot" is still indented into the back pillow where she always sleeps which is cute and I like it when she sleeps behind me while i'm sitting in the chair. 3. It was a chair my Dad also liked and he sat in it a lot. 4. I PAID $500 for the chair. My first question was "wtf is my chair doing outside"?
My mom says "oh I told Robert (new overfriendly neighbor) down the street that he could have it since you were living in Cali and are never home." Is this some sort of punishment to me for moving out to Cali? I start crying that I don't want her to give it to him and start listing all the reasons I love the chair and complain that I always told her that I wanted to keep it because it is my favorite chair and it means a lot to me that I keep it.
So later I go to the grocery store with my brother and get back. To my horror the chair is no longer where it was when I left!!! I storm inside and ask my mom why she gave it to him after I begged her no to...she says because she felt bad and she already promised it to him...HELLO i'm her daughter, what about my feelings? Then she says.."oh but he felt bad so he brought you back over a present to make up for it." I'm like..what on earth could it possibly be?? I don't even know this guy!! How would he know what I like? WTF did he bring me? Whatever I DON'T even care, I don't want whatever it is. My mom takes me out into the garage and...
So my friend Madlyn said she had been watching this show called Weeds on Showtime and I had also heard good review from one of my other friends here on LJ so I downloaded all the episodes of season 1 and the rest of the episodes from this season to catch up, over the past 2 days I watched it ALL!
I hiighly recommend this show!
Alas, a new favorite has arrived...I loove this show! It's funny, very smart, and witty.
Every single time I get up for a nano second to answer my phone or to go to the bathroom...whatever. I come back to my laptop this is what I see - I am not kidding. I finally had a camera within reaching distance this time to prove it to everyone, I don't know who she thinks she is, then I feel bad because I want to sit back down but she looks soo cute & comfy!
oh hi... What?... J'adore wants in on this..last cuteness pic for the day!
A few weeks ago I made these pics for my boyfriend in ms paint (this is before I decided to get a hobby or go back to my old hobbies)...just thought i'd share.
So I went out and bought the cheapest yarn I could find yesterday just to practice with. The yarn I bought last week will be saved for another use which I am sure I will get around to eventually. So I finally decided on a pattern I found on www.knitty.com with the help of a friend.. I'm making this with it... <~~ Rockstar
So far I have managed to learn how to do a CO & basic knitting. I am too embarrassed to post a pic of my actual progress so far, it's not much because I messed up twice and had to rip it all out..I can't remember the correct term for this which Madlyn just told me last night. I hope she doesn't get mad, she's kind of violent sometimes...she told me she'd throw her cat at my eye if I ever gave up knitting. I am not 100% confident that I am doing the pattern right but all I care about right now is that I am knitting correctly.
Here are pics of our first Jaded Pink photo shoot, obviously these pics are NOT the ones that the photographer took, just took these in between shots...the ones the photographer took we should get back soon so we can choose which ones we want to put on the website. Putting these behind a cut too..
